Privacy Policy

What personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

ECOM BUYER NETWORK PRIVATE LIMITED — Software Development & Technology Services. This document was last updated on 4 September 2026.

1. Scope of this policy

ECOM BUYER NETWORK PRIVATE LIMITED ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it.

This policy covers this public website. It does not cover the internal systems we operate for our own staff, which are not accessible to the public, and it does not cover software we build for clients — where we develop or host an application for a client, that client is the controller of the data in it and their own privacy policy applies.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, we collect the details you enter:
  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number, if you provide one;
  • your company name, if you provide one;
  • the service you selected, if you selected one;
  • the message you write describing your requirement.

Please do not include passwords, API keys, financial details or other sensitive information in an enquiry message. If you need to share something of that kind during a project, we will agree a secure method with you.

Information collected automatically with an enquiry. When an enquiry is submitted we record the IP address it came from and the browser user-agent string, together with the time. We do this to detect and limit automated abuse of the form, and for no other purpose. Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard web server request logs, which may include IP addresses, in the ordinary course of operating the service.

We do not collect special categories of personal data through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

3. What we do not do

We want to be specific about this rather than silent:

  • The public pages of this website set no cookies and start no session. See our Cookie Policy.
  • We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising networks, social media trackers or third-party scripts on the public website.
  • We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

4. Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To respond to your enquiry — because you asked us to, and because it is in our legitimate interest to answer people who contact us about our services. Where the enquiry concerns work we might do for you, this also covers steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To keep a record of correspondence so that a later enquiry from you can be understood in context — our legitimate interest in managing our business.
  • To protect the form from automated abuse, using the IP address and user agent — our legitimate interest in the security and availability of our systems.
  • To comply with the law, where we are required to retain or disclose information.

We do not send marketing email off the back of an enquiry. If you contact us about a project, we reply about that project.

5. Who can see it

Enquiries are readable by authorised personnel of ECOM BUYER NETWORK PRIVATE LIMITED who handle client correspondence, and by no one else. Access is controlled by authenticated accounts and is not open to the public.

We use third parties only where they are necessary to operate the website — principally our hosting provider, which processes data on our instructions in order to serve the site and store its database. We do not otherwise share enquiry information.

We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law, by a court, or by a competent authority, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

6. Where it is stored

Enquiries are stored in the database that supports this website, on infrastructure operated by our hosting provider. Where storage or processing takes place outside your country, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the information continues to be protected to a standard consistent with this policy.

7. How we protect it

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we hold, including access control on the systems that store enquiries, authentication for the staff who read them, restriction of administrative functions to authorised accounts, server-side validation of everything submitted, and rate limiting on the public form.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will act in accordance with our obligations under applicable law.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful for the purpose they were sent for — answering you, and understanding a later enquiry in context — and then no longer than we need them. Enquiries identified as spam are removed. Where an enquiry leads to a project, the correspondence is retained for the life of that engagement and for as long afterwards as we are required to keep business records.

You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time; see the next section.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you a copy of it;
  • correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete information we no longer have a reason to keep;
  • restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests;
  • provide it in a portable form, where that right applies.

To make a request, contact us through the contact form on this website. We may need to verify your identity before acting, so that we do not disclose one person's information to another. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request or a concern, our Complaints & Grievance Policy explains how to escalate it. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

This website may link to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not apply to them. Please read their own policies before providing information to them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in what the website does or in the law. The version on this page is the current one, and the date it was last updated is shown at the top of the page. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
